It's funny how you are working on finding a solution to a problem and you end up finding something interesting that distracts you from your original problem.

I don't know if anyone else had this problem before when sending HTML email. The characters would come out &#039 for a quote symbol and HTML Tags would have similar issues. The site sits on an IIS server, and the modules being used are Mail System, Mime Mail, and SMTP Authentication support.

When an author creates a post and a reader makes a comment on it, common courtesy is to respond to the comment. Aside from checking your post frequently, the only way you would know if a comment was created is to be notified in some way. In Drupal there are a couple of ways to achieve this.

An important aspect of many websites is having the capability to send email to it's members. These emails can be notifications, newsletters, etc. With Drupal you can send email in plain text format or using HTML. Now there is a debate whether plain text format or HTML format is better.

In Part I, I thought I had the silver bullet to cure every problem. When the dreaded Fatal Error white page appeared this time I did what I did last time. When I tried to bring up the site the error still came up. Fatal. Error.
